The Paxton Net2 Desktop Reader is designed to be connected to your laptop or PC. It is used for adding tokens to a Net2 system and also for identifying existing tokens. It is compatible with Net2 and MIFARE® tokens.
Just plug it into the USB port. No additional connections are needed. Other workstations can also have desktop readers.
When a new Net2 token is presented to the desktop reader, the new user wizard will appear with the card number. You can enter the new user's name and details, and the token will be issued.
If a known token is presented, the relevant user's record will appear.
